Volunteer

Volunteering with CFES will bring you into a circle of professionals who are passionate about Earth Science education, public outreach, research, and policy. We represent Canada's Earth Science community, and work to carry out the common goals of our 13 member organizations.

We are currently looking for volunteers for the following opportunities:

• Science writing/storytelling: contribute to our blog 

• Communications and marketing: develop CFES print/digital materials, website content management, social media engagement

• French translation: update and improve our French-language site

​

Volunteers will gain practical experience and key professional skills, as well as networking and mentorship support.

​

Geologist-in-Residence Program

​

The CFES Geologist-in-Residence program is delivered in partnership with Parks Canada. The Geologist-in-Residence will spend their residency serving as a Parks Canada volunteer. During this time the Geologist-in-Residence will educate Park visitors and staff about the geological formations and phenomena of the Park by delivering programs and presentations.
