    Surveys


    Survey organizations are national and provincial government agencies responsible for the systematic collection and publication of georeferenced information on topography, (surface and subsurface) geology, water, soils, and atmosphere.

    The Geological Survey of Canada (GSC) is part of the Earth Sciences Sector (ESS) of Natural Resources Canada (NRCan), which is also home to a.o. the Polar Continental Shelf Program (PCSP), and the Canada Center for Remote Sensing (CCRS),

    Canadian provinces and territories all have a Department of Natural Resources, which includes a geological survey organization. These geological survey organizations cooperate in the Committee of Provincial and Territorial Geologists www.cpgeologists.ca/

    The Geological Survey of Canada is an observer organization of CFES. The Committee of Provincial and Territorial Geologists is a member organization of CFES.
